Really nice and refreshing ad by Fiat promoting there topless, cabrio version of there 500 Abarth. The idea is funny and the implementation is done really well. Regarding the Abarth itself, I have included a full review of it in my previous articles. I love these kind of cabrio cars. If I am not mistaking it was Citroen that started this idea with there 2CV (deux cheveaux) model of 1948. It was a really good idea at the time because first of all it is simple, it reduced the weight of the car and it is easy to implement which is still the case for the new Abarth 500 cabrio model.
NB: Type “Abarth” in the search engine at the right top of the page to access the old TheAdsGarage Abarth posts.
I mentioned several times the Fiat 500 on TheAdsGarage. You can check the reviews by typing “Fiat” in the search space that appears at the right top of the page. With this new commercial, Fiat is announcing there US Fiat 500 range: the Fiat 500, 500c Cabrio and the 500 Abarth. The way the idea of “immigration” is developed in the commercial is very original and unexpected. Regarding the grey 500 that appears at 0:48, reliable sources said that it could be the New Fiat 500T that is a range of 500 that is in between the regular 500 and the Abarth version. Apparently it will feature a 1.4 liters 130hp engine. Its going to have a sporty look. I’ll keep an eye on this 500T and let you know if it is gonna be produced or not. By the way, don’t worry no Fiat were harmed in the making of this video.
I already wrote a post about the Fiat 500 Abarth when it was advertised for the Super Bowl XLVI. Regarding this ad I really liked the fact that Fiat chose Charlie Sheen to promote the bad boy image of the 500 Abarth. As you all know Sheen, is the star of Two and a Half Men. He has been fired from the show for badmouthing the show’s creator last year. Sheen has been hospitalized for substance abuse-related issues at least three times. So a profile of a bad boy? Yes Fiat chose the right guy. The model, Catrinel Menghia at the end of the ad has also acted in the 500 Abarth “Seduction” commercial for the superbowl. Fiat must have chosen her as the seduction symbol of the 500 Abarth as they chose Sheen for its bad boy image.
Its a nice and funny ad by Fiat I really liked the “Let Your Italian out” slogan. I drove the Fiat 500 1.4, 100hp. It’s really weird but it felt very fast for an 1.4 engine car. I was thinking that if the 1.4 front wheel engine Fiat 500 felt so fast how about the Abarth, 1.4 turbo charged engine edition that delivers almost 60 additional horses!!
This is the new FIAT 500 Abarth Super Bowl XLVI commercial. This is one of my favorite cars. The Ferrari edition of the Abarth is just gorgeous. It looks really aggressive specially with the four exhaust pipes at the back. The Abarth edition of the fiat 500 features a 1.4 Turbocharged engine that delivers 160 hp at 5500 rpm and 170 lb-ft at 2200-4000 rpm which is really impressive for a car this size. This ad focuses on the sensuality behind the new 500 Abarth.
