Like every year, babies are the stars of superbowl commercials. For this Big Game, Kia is answering one of the first embarrassing questions that a child asks his parents, Where do babies come from. A typical conversation that occurs when a family is reunited in a car. This time the answer was quite elaborate. The Kia Sorento, an AWD 7 seater, featured in this video is available with a 3.5 liter V6 engine delivering 276 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. The output power is more than enough to take your kids to the beach on a Saturday afternoon or take them skiing on a Sunday morning. The car looks fine, the ride looks comfy, the new materials used in the car look really good not cheap at all. Kia has really done some amazing improvements to its range of products in these last couple of years. The big advantage of being a South-Korean brand is the price, around 25000$ only! A German 7 seater costs at least three times as much.

For this years Big Game, Mercedes decided to feature its most recent creation, the CLA 250. This gorgeous four doors coupe will feature a 2.0 litre in line 4-cylinder engine delivering 208hp and 258 lb/ft of torque. It will be available in front wheel drive, the AWD edition will be released later on this year. A sportier version, the CLA45 AMG, will be released celebrating the 45th anniversary of Mercedes. It is said that it will feature a twin turbo charged edition of the in line 4 delivering around 320hp. Looking forward. I love this car it’s design is amazing. The wonderful front grill will be also featured in the Class A AMG hatchback.

For this commercial Mercedes are focusing on the cheap price of this new smaller version of the CLS. The main idea behind the commercial is: Why would you sell your soul to the devil to get everything you ever wanted when you can have it at just 29.999$. The idea is not very innovative but the execution is well done. Usher, Kate Upton and Willem Dafoe are featured in this commercial. Why? It is a Big Game commercial!

Aston Martin Centenary: Vanquish Flying to Dubai

Aston Martin CentenaryThe first Vanquish Centenary edition was revealed yesterday at the top of the 1000-foot-tall Burj Al Arab hotel. How did it get there? By Helicopter!! The $300K special edition and first of a series of 100 Aston Martin Centenary, flew attached to a helicopter and landed on the helipad of the famous hotel. This one of a kind event was attended by UAE dignitaries and Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez. Dubai is made for these types of crazy and extravagant events. Where else in the world would you see a $300K Aston Martin attached to a helicopter flying 1000 foot above the ground?! Aston Martin Commercial: 100 years of Power, Beauty, Soul

Aston Martin has revealed this video as a tribute for it’s 100 years of existence since it has been founded by Robert Bamford and Lionel Martin. It features some of the most iconic models and celebrities  that contributed to the built of the brand’s long history, transforming it into the acclaimed make that it is today. Celebrating it’s 100th anniversary, Aston started by revealing the Centenary Edition Vanquish. It is a customized version of the already astonishing and gorgeous Vanquish. The engine power delivery is gonna be very similar to the regular Vanquish, 565 hp and 457 lb-ft of torque. The modifications are gonna be mainly aesthetic. The Centenary edition is gonna feature a special paint job like the one shown in the picture above and special leather seats with silver stitches, details that were reserved to the One-77 hypercar. Aston Martin is gonna produce 100 Centenary edition of the Vanquish, V8 Vantage, DB9 and Rapide. So I don’t really think we will be seeing any of these special edition models on the streets but damn they are gonna be gorgeous!!

Porsche Commercial: Family Reunion.

Why is Porsche advertising their brand new 911 Carrera cabriolet as a family car? Well maybe Porsche are trying to prove that the new 911 has become much more user friendly and can be driven and enjoyed by the whole family but for me the commercial is way too fake. 1) I mean ok it has two seats at the back but if you are more than 5 years old you wouldn’t fit for sure. 2) Have you ever seen a mom getting into the car and admiring it while waiting for here daughter to come? 3) (with all due respect of course) Have you ever seen a mom revving the engine in a tunnel to enjoy it’s sound? 4) Since when has a child been aloud to put the roof down in his parents brand new Porsche cabrio? 5) I guess this commercial is a good way for a husband to convince his wife to buy a Porsche. Other than that, the Carrera looks and sounds amazing. It’s 3.8 liters flat-six engine delivers 400 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. There is an amazing button that you can add as an option in your Porsche, a magical button that will “release” the exhaust. The sound of the car becomes 😮

Pagani Commercial: The Huayra

Huyara christmas“It is a machine so unlikely ever to be real, it may be a unicorn” – Richard Hammond Top Gear. Ending this years category of Christmas commercials is this nice, soft, powerful and simple ad by Pagani for there majestic Huayra. This is not an ad in the proper meaning of the word. It is more of a tribute, a tribute to Modena Italy, the city were this new breed was born, a tribute to its creator the famous, 5 diamond engineering award winner, Horacio Pagani. This chill tribute drive to the Concerto cafe in Modena was achieved by a  700hp 6.0 liters twin-turbocharged AMG V12 hypercar. Yes for me it is the Ultimate hypercar, the ultimate dream machine. It is the combination of the work of the worlds finest, exhaust and body designers and engine and brake manufacturers.

BMW Commercial: Christmas Special

M6 HP4How about waking up this morning and finding in your garage two huge red boxes like those. This commercial by BMW is just explosive. I really like this type of commercials, power, engine noises, drifting, and a nice slogan at the end. It features two of there latest babies, the  M6 GranCoupe and the HP4 motorbike drifting all over the place. The M6 features the brand new twinturbocharged 4.4 liters V8 engine that delivers up to 560hp and 680 Nm of torque. This new M car is gonna be equipped with the M Double Clutch transmission that allows it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. About the HP4 now, HP stands for High Performance in the BMW dictionary. This fourth edition has the same engine performance as the S 1000 RR, 193hp and 82 ft-lb of torque. The difference is the weight that has been reduced to only 169 kg.

MINI Commercial: Longest Wish list to Santa.

 

Santa clause miniFor this Christmas MINI decided to break another Guinness World Record, the one of “the longest wish list to Santa”. The MINI team traveled 3,555 km in several Countryman, and asked people they met on the way to fill up wishing lists that were gonna be delivered to Santa. The trip started in Milano, Italy and ended in Rovaniemi, Finland the town of Santa Clause where the Record was confirmed by juries of the Guinness World Record team. Santa Clause himself was surprise by the number of wishlists they had brought to him! MINI must have an amazing marketing team!

BMW Commercial: The Fastest Song in The World

It is powered by a 3.0 liters V6 twin turbo charged engine that delivers 320hp and 450 Nm of torque. This sport version of the 1 series will be available in rear wheel drive and in xdrive all wheel drive. This 2012 135i M will be the first 1-series to feature AWD. Now for Christmas, the BMW team will be trying to sing you a Christmas song while riding with Martin Tomczyk, the professional DTM driver, in the brand new BMW 135i M. The result? Well the fastest song in the world!

Mini Commercial: Driving Dog

Driving DogWell this is not exactly a MINI commercial, it is a SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) advertising campaign in collaboration with MINI. The mission of this association is to “encourage the humane treatment of all animals and to prevent cruelty being inflicted upon them”. The campaign is superb and very well executed. Three dogs were chosen according to their size and behavior to become “driving dogs”. After only a few weeks of training, the three dogs were up to the task!
