Aston Martin Commercial: The Vanquish AM310 Concept.

“A Century of exceptional sports cars is distilled into a bold, new breed of Aston Martin: Vanquish” By Astonmartin.com. This new breed is going to be called the AM310 Vanquish. Aston martin confirmed that this masterpiece is gonna feature a V12, 6.0liters engine delivering 565hp and 457lb-ft of torque. This new Vanquish is stunning I loved the small carbon fiber details on the front squirt and other parts of the car.

The melody of that V12 is mind blowing. Even though the ad is not so special showing only the interior and exterior details of the car, the music used is just staggering. It is simply the roaring of this new AM310 Vanquish.

Citroen Commercial: Euro 2012

Citroen is the official sponsor of the “Equipe de France de Football” in other words, the French national team. For this commercial Citroen combined humor and fun featuring its French rally driver, Sebastien Loeb. Sebastien is the record holder of 8 world titles, 71 victories and 107 podiums in the WRC championships. He has been sponsored by Citroen since 1999. Sebastien currently drives the newest model of Citroen, the C4 which has of course been modified to fit the rally requirements. The ad is very fresh and funny. I really liked it.

Mercedes Commercial: SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary

Introducing the new 45th Anniversary edition of the SL65 AMG. Mercedes announced that it will produce only 45 specimens of this beast. This special edition model will feature the same SL65 AMG 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that delivers 621hp and 737 lb-ft. Other than the “designo magno graphite” matte paint, and some 45th edition badges, this special edition version has mostly the same features as the regular SL65 AMG.
Regarding the Ad, the tear of that middle aged man a the beginning of the commercial is just priceless. This SL 65 AMG is definitively “the only place where men can cry”.

BMW Commercial: Connected Drive

“Vision” is the electric concept car that BMW is been developing for almost 3 years. The i8 as it was called was first introduced at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. The Vision features an electric motor at the front and a V3 1.5 liter turbo charged engine at the back. The result is a combined output of 349hp. BMW says that the 0-100 km/h can be achieved in 4.6 seconds and that the car features an all wheel drive regenerative braking. They announced that the car is gonna go into production in early 2013.

This add features the old look of the concept Vision but still it is really nice illustrating most of the features of the ConnectedDrive BMW system. I really liked the fact that you can connect your car to social media channels in order to have a complete list of your friends, available to access while you are driving.

Audi Commercial: 2000 Decisions a second.

Introducing the new a Audi A6 bi-turbo Diesel. The A6 a V6 3.0 bi-turbo engine that delivers up to 313 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. It of course features the amazing quattro four wheel drive system. This A6 is the most technology advances Audi created so far. So advanced that it can take up to 2000 decisions a second. This ad clearly features some of the awesome new technology gadgets and sensor that the A6 includes.

BMW Commercial: The Zagato Coupe

This amazing hand-built beast is the result of BMW getting together with Milanese coachbuilder Zagato. I must say this car has a very aggressive front side that was designed specially around the engine so that it fits perfectly. The front grill is covered with “Z”. The rear part of the car doesn’t seem like it is following the same aggressive spirit as the front. It a bit too futuristic. I would have preferred a more “Z4 look a like” look for the back. Nothing was announced by BMW regarding the engine specifications but I would predict that the BMW Zagato will feature the V8 twin-turbo 4.4-liter of the 2012 M6. It will probably be tuned to release around 600hp. There is a big probability that this concept will go into production in the recent future.

Ford Commercial: MIB3 trailer

The Ford Taurus is one of the road vehicles that is gonna be used in the new Men In Black movie along with some jet packs and other space futuristic gadgets. The Taurus SHO features a 3.5 twin-turbocharged V6 delivering 365 hp/350 lb-ft of torque. The SHO is equipped with four wheel drive system. As a car for MIB3 the Taurus doesn’t really have that “out of space” look neither does it fly. The Acura NSX would have been definitely a better choice. The NSX looks particularly gorgeous in “The Avengers” which is an action movie featuring a whole bunch of superheroes including IronMan, Hulk, Captain America… The movie is specially entertaining if you are watching it in 3D or imax.

Chevy commercial: “Night Swimming”

Chevrolet introduces its new iPhone app. This app allows you to control multiple car functions like unlock the door if you forgot your keys in it, start you engine if you want it to warm up before you get in the car… The app will allow you to access some important car information like the fuel level, oil temperature… This is a nice use of smartphones in the car industry but i think it really lacks safety. I am sure that not even a week from now the app will be hacked and hackers will be able to control any car with there smartphone. Hope Chevy are gonna find interesting safety matters that would disable the hackers to crack the app.

Audi Commercial: “Alien”

Presenting “Alien” the new A6 spot by Audi. The new A6 features a 3.0L V6 turbo engine that delivers 310 hp and 325 ft-lbs of torque which is really needed with a car that big. I am not a big fan of Saloon car aka the car driven by the personal driver. Still i admit that the A6 is just a wonderful car. You really feel like you are in a moving living room.

The ad is really nice I really like how the little girl admires her dad but has that feeling, deep inside, that he is an alien. Well the technologies in cars, specially in luxury saloon cars have become so advanced that you really feel that you are in a spaceship.

Fiat Commercial: “Winning”

Introducing “Winning” the new Fiat 500 abarth commercial. This 500 Abarth ad like all the previous ones features the gorgeous Catrinel Menghia. She is now  the symbol of the 500 Abarth combining elegance, seduction, and aggressiveness. I already mentioned and discussed the 500 Abarth in my two previous post, “Seduction” and “House Arrest”. I really like the fact that Fiat are frequently coming up with these small and fun commercials. It really feels like they are trying to tell us a story and not just sell us there product.

Most of you probably ask yourself What does the Catrinel say in this Abarth commercial? At 0:12 of the commercial she asks: “facciamo un giro?” which is Italian for “Wanna go for a ride?” At 0:33 of she asks: “chi ti credere di essere?” which is Italian for “Who do you think you are?”
